Lavvi is a community-driven platform, which means trust is our foundation. We believe that finding a clean washroom shouldn't come at the cost of your personal privacy. We collect only the absolute minimum data required to run the map, and we never sell your data to third-party advertisers. Here is our transparent data policy.

1. What we collect

  No account required to browse: You can view the map, read reviews, and navigate to toilets without ever giving us your name, email, or phone number.

  If you choose to sign up: To earn Trust Points and add toilets, we require a basic Google/Email login. We only store your email address, display name, and avatar.

  Strict GPS Policy: We only request your location when you actively open the map or press the S.O.S button. We do not track your background location, and we do not maintain a history of your past commutes.

2. How we use it

Your data is strictly used to empower the public map and reward our community:

• Displaying user-submitted washrooms, photos, and hygiene reviews.
• Calculating and updating the City Leaderboard based on your helpful contributions.
• Preventing spam attacks and blocking malicious bots to keep the map reliable.

3. Bank-Grade Security

We employ strict Row-Level Security (RLS) on our backend databases. This cryptographic assurance means that even structurally, users can only ever modify their own personal data. All user-uploaded photos are securely processed and hosted via Cloudinary's enterprise infrastructure.

4. Your Right to be Forgotten

You own your data. If you decide to leave Lavvi, you shouldn't have to jump through hoops.
